A review meeting was held today at the PMDFC Head Office regarding Public Private Partnership (PPP) initiatives in two Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP) cities, Kasur and Chakwal, being developed in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC). Under PICP, both cities are proposed to be implemented through the PPP model to ensure sustainable and efficient service delivery. It was further noted that the proposed scheme plans will be submitted for approval to the Public Private Partnership Authority, Government of Punjab, at the appropriate stage. Detailed discussions were held on various Water Supply, Sanitation (WSS) and drainage schemes, including proposed service delivery and operational modalities tailored to the specific needs of each city. The meeting also reviewed institutional, financial, and implementation aspects of the proposed PPP arrangements. The meeting was attended by Syed Zahid Aziz, MD PMDFC, Moeen-ul-Din Sheikh, PPP Expert, Mahmood Masood Tamana, GM (ID) and Adnan Nisar Khan, GM Engineering.
