A progress review meeting was convened by the Deputy Commissioner Hafizabad to assess the ongoing implementation of the comprehensive sewage treatment schemes under WB funding and PDP. The meeting was attended by MNA Sara Afzal Tarar, MPA Shahid Hussain Bhatti, representatives from the PMDFC including PO E&S and SPO ID, technical experts from NESPAK, Contractors, officials from WASA Hafizabad and MC Hafizabad. The meeting focused on the importance of timely execution of Sewerage schemes in Hafizabad City. The deputy commissioner emphasized the critical need to adhere strictly to the timelines. He issued clear directives to NESPAK, the contractors, and MC Hafizabad to expedite the pace of work and ensure no delays occur at any stage of the project. It was further directed that weekly progress must be submitted to the Deputy Commissioner’s office.
The Deputy Commissioner also assured that the District Administration will extend any necessary support to facilitate smooth and uninterrupted execution. He reaffirmed the commitment of his office to removing administrative hurdles, resolving inter-departmental coordination issues, and providing on-ground assistance whenever needed to ensure the timely and successful completion of the schemes.
