A delegation from WWF-Pakistan, led by Sohail Ali Naqvi (Director Freshwater), called on Syed Zahid Aziz (Managing Director, PMDFC) to exchange insights and explore potential areas for joint action to strengthen freshwater resilience in urban areas under the ongoing project “Building Water-Sensitive Societies: Collaborative Solutions for Freshwater Resilience and Sustainability.”
Also present from PMDFC were Mahmood Masood Tamana (General Manager, Institutional Development), Adnan Nisar Khan (General Manager, Engineering), and Ammar Anwar (Program Officer-Procurement).
The meeting focused on critical water challenges, including resource stress, pollution, infrastructure limitations, and the growing impacts of climate change. Both sides emphasized the importance of capacity building in technical expertise, monitoring systems, and data-driven decision-making for sustainable urban water management.
