A successful learning and exposure visit to the Bukhara Sharif Pond was conducted under the WASH program for Government Officers from across Pakistan. The purpose of visit was to promote innovative waste water treatment solutions.

The visit commenced with opening remarks and a briefing by Usama Zahoor, Deputy Program Officer (Procurement), provided an overview of the Floating Wetland Treatment Project and acknowledged the vital support of UNICEF in making the initiative possible. A detailed presentation on the technical aspects and implementation of the project was delivered by Mr. Ammar Anwar, Program Officer.

Mr. Nisar Salahuddin, Deputy Program Officer (ID South), and Mr. Abdul Rehman, were also present and contributed to the successful visit.

The exposure visit offered an excellent opportunity for interprovincial knowledge sharing and highlighted the impact of nature-based solutions in addressing water and sanitation challenges.
