A meeting was held at PMDFC’s head office with renowned politician/social worker Mr. Imran Doltana and international Solid Waste Management Expert Mr. Frans Follings. Participants of the meeting were GM (Engineering) Mr. Adnan Nisar Khan, Solid Waste Management Expert Mr. Ahsan Bela, Program Officer GIS Mr. Aamir Shah, Program Officer Procurement Mr. Arslan Idress and Program Officer Infrastructure Development Mr. Salman Ahmad. Mr. Bela delivered a presentation on solid waste management activities carried out under PMDFC. The development and working of the Forensic waste logging laboratory at Muridke city by PMDFC were explained to the participants. Mr. Khan informed salient features of forthcoming landfill and MRF projects being executed by PMDFC. Mr. Frans shared his enriched multinational work experience in waste management with the participants and discussed current waste management practices in Pakistan, Punjab. At the end, Mr. Doltaana highlight gaps in waste management practices particularly related to Vehari City and discussed possible ways forward for improving waste management practices.
