Ms. Hina Hafeezullah Ishaq and Mr. Syed Kamal Ali Haider, Judicial Water & Environment Commission Members, visited the revitalized pond site in Manawala, Sheikhupura. They were welcomed by Mr. Zohaib Butt, Senior Program Officer (Procurement), and his team, who briefed the delegation on the floating wetlands initiative completed by PMDFC in collaboration with UNICEF. This initiative not only treats sewerage water but also will improve underground water quality besides improving local ecology. Additionally, PMDFC has developed a park at the site, which has become a valuable resource for the local community especially children. The Commission Members praised the innovative approach to sewerage water treatment and its positive environmental impact.
