A one-day training workshop on Environmental and Social Monitoring and Supervision of ongoing infrastructure subprojects under the Punjab Cities Program (PCP) was successfully conducted for the Faisalabad region. The workshop aimed to equip consultants, contractors, and Municipal Committees (MC) officials with the necessary skills to effectively monitor the environmental and social aspects of ongoing projects, and to clearly define their roles in ensuring compliance with Environment and Social Management and Monitoring Plans (ESMMPs).
Parvez Iqbal, Chairman, PMDFC, welcomed the participants and set a positive tone for the day with his opening remarks. Imran-ul-Haq from the World Bank acknowledged the significance of the training and appreciated the active participation of attendees.
