A delegation from the World Bank, comprising Ms. Shahnaz Arshad and Mr. Suhaib Rasheed, convened with Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi, Secretary Local Government and Community Development (LG&CD) Department, today (29-02-2024). The focus of the meeting was to provide a comprehensive update on the progress of various municipal infrastructure sub-projects and initiatives, notably the projects of water & sewerage and e-governance systems such as the Local Government Financial Management System (LGFMIS). World Bank-funded PCP is being executed by the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company, under LG&CDD and significant improvements in municipal service delivery are being made in 16 cities across the province.
Accompanying Dr. Ahmad Javed Qazi were key officials including Ms. Maria Tariq, Additional Secretary (Development) LG&CDD, Syed Zahid Aziz, MD-PMDFC/PD-PCP, and Mr. Mahmood Masood Tamana, GM ID.
