On 07 Nov, 2023 the UNICEF team, including Mr. Haile Gashaw, Chief of WASH, Ms. Sabahat Ambreen, WASH Specialist, and Ms. Maleeha Sajjad Naqvi, WASH Officer, inaugurated a beautiful park in Mughalpura Village, Manawala, Sheihupura. This incredible park was made possible after the successful completion of floating wetlands by NIBGE in the nearby wastewater pond carried out under UNICEF financing by PMDFC. At this occasion from PMDFC, Mr. Zohaib Butt, SPO Procurement, Mr. Arsalan Idrees, PO Procurement, and Mr. Salman Ahmad, PO ID were present. The local residents were happy about the park and the improved environment. No more odors or mosquitoes, and clean water for agriculture. Groundwater quality will no longer be deteriorating. Even the kids are loving the new park!
