Today (02-08-2023), a training workshop focused on "Monitoring and Management of Energy Consumption" took place in Lahore. The event was attended by 6 (Gujranwala) Punjab Cities Program (PCP) Partner Cities' MC staff. The opening remarks were delivered by special guest, Ar. Plnr. Parvez Iqbal, Chairman-BOD followed by Syed Zahid Aziz, MD PMDFC, who shared his insights about the importance of energy efficiency and training's objectives. The training featured experienced resource persons from M/S PITCO who conducted sessions on various topics, including Management Information Systems (MIS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for Audit/Data Collection (Water Supply Sets), and the presentation of the Energy Management Report. The ultimate aim of this training was to further improve the energy efficiency of the partner MCs. By doing so, they can effectively reduce expenses on POL and electricity, providing them with more financial capacity to enhance their service delivery to the citizens.
