PMDFC organized one day stakeholder’s conference on August 30, 2022 at RAMADA Hotel, Gulberg-II Lahore to sensitize about the operations of program, key responsibilities and major program interventions in 16 partner cities under Punjab Cities Program funded by The World Bank. The Honorable Minister for Local Government & Community Development Department, Punjab, Mian Mahmood-ur-Rasheed graced the occasion as a Chief Guest. Minister LG&CDD said that PCP with the financial support of World Bank, is playing a vital role in the development of 16 PCP Cities by strengthening the municipal service delivery of 16 PCP MCs.
Mr. Iftikhar Rasool - MD PMDFC/ PD PCP, pointed out that PCP is a unique program whose MCs have been made Executing Agencies as it was important to make them for ID Projects through the Design Consultants. BOD PMDFC and civil society members, Ch. Shafi Arshad, Mr. Pervaiz Iqbal, Mr. Qamar uz Zaman, and Mr. Imaad Iftikhar also graced the occasion with their participation. Mr. Iftikhar Rasool, along with Mr. Ashiq Ch. SPO-ID, gave detailed briefing on Infrastructure Development Initiatives being undertaken under Phase-II of the Program. Team Leaders of the consulting firms Mr. Saadat Waleed from M/S JERS Pvt. Ltd., Mr. Ihsaan Qamar, Mr. Pervaiz Iqbal & Mr. Ashfaq Ahmed from MMP Engineering, Malik Iftikhar Ahmed from NESPAK and Mr. Ali Akbar from Asian Consulting also delivered presentations and updated top leadership and management of Municipal Committees on the latest progress and infrastructure development activities made so far. Other senior officers from PMDFC/ PCP also attended the conference.
