PMDFC PCP Environment & Social Safeguard’s team organized training session with the collaboration of World Bank Team on “Refresher course on Environmental & Social Management Framework (ESMF) and Environmental & Social Management plans (ESMP) Development” on March 01, 2022 at Pakistan Institute of Management (PIM) Lahore. The participants of the training sessions were Municipal Officers (I&S) & Municipal Officer (Planning) of 16 PCP partner cities.
The main objective of training was to invigorate the participants knowledge on ESMF developed by PCP. The PCP-ESS team presented the implementation steps of ESMF in detail and discussed how to prepare Environmental & Social Management plans (ESMPs). Mr. Iftikhar Rasool PD -PCP in his welcome remarks briefed the participants about importance of Environment & Social Safeguards implementation in the execution /implementation of subprojects. Ms. Tehmina Kiran, Mr. Asif Gillani, Mr. Umar Farooq from ESS section, Ms. Kiran Saba-IS section & Mr. Nauman Akhtar from FM section also attended the training. While World Bank Team participated in training through virtual link. Participants of the training appreciated the interactive learning opportunity.
