Punjab Cities Program (PCP) establishes its regional office of North Punjab

August 15, 2020: PMDFC, as part of its flagship project ‘Punjab Cities Program (PCP)’ has successfully established its regional office of North Punjab in Gujranwala. This regional office would operate for the capacity building and institutional strengthening of the following Municipal Corporations/Committees (MCs): Daska, Hafizabad, Jhelum, Kamoke, Muridke and Wazirabad.

The regional office will organize hands-on workshops for the officials of the above-mentioned MCs on Procurement, Infrastructure Development, Financial Management, and Environment and Social Management (ESM). The regional staff of Procurement, Infrastructure Development, Financial Management and ESM teams will offer facilitation to MC’s staff.

The central core team of PCP will also visit the regional office for technical assistance to MC’s staff of the North Punjab region.

Muhammad Aamer Nazeer, Project Director, PCP / MD, PMDFC urged the regional office team to excel in training and capacity building initiatives, so that the officials of respective MCs can be sensitized on improved urban management and service delivery.
