World Bank Shared "Punjab Urban Reforms Roadmap"
The World Bank shared the "Punjab Urban Reforms Roadmap" with Government of the Punjab in the meeting held on Februray 18, 2017 under the chairmanship of Chief Minister of Punjab.
Project design and scope (Punjab Cities Program / PMSIP Follow-on Project) shall be finalized in line with Punjab Urban Reforms Roadmap.
   
May 12, 2016 Procurement and Distribution Sewer safety equipment (42-sets) to 27-TMAs of Punjab  
Distribution ceremony of sewer safety equipment for 27 TMAs was held on 12th May, 2016 at PMDFc offices. Mr. Malik Nadeem Kamran (Minister for Zakat & Usher) was the chief guest at the occasion. While addressing the participants, the Chief Guest stated that the Chief Minister Punjab was keen bout the health and life of sewer workers in the Punjab and present initiative was undertaken under his special directions. He emphasized the use of this equipment during cleaning process of the sewers.
Demonstration for the operation and use of sewer safety equipment was given by Technical Consultant PMDFC to the TMA staff. A booklet containing specifications and use of all the items of the sewer safety equipment along with the operation manual was also distributed to all the TMAs.The manual has also been made available on PMDFC website. The participants were further briefed about the precautionary measures needed during the operation of the equipment. The on-site training for the operation of the equipment will be imparted by PMDFC to the sewer men and supervisors in their respective TMAs in coming days.
   
Apr 06, 2016 Observance of Anti-Dengue Day on 6th April 2016: PMDFC is proactively working to raise awareness among the masses on Dengue fever and adoption of safety measures. In line with the instructions from Government of the Punjab, PMDFC observed Anti-Dengue day on April 06th, 2016.
PMDFC team visited Lahore Lyceum School, Samanabad Lahore and briefed the children about dengue. Lectures were delivered in school and information material was also distributed regarding combating Dengue.
Moreover, PMDFC designed and implemented a communication and awareness raising campaign for the citizens. Information material containing messages and general information on precautionary measures being is widely disseminated amongst citizens.
 
   
Nov 07, 2015 Visit of World Bank Task Team Identification Mission: World Bank Task Team Identification Mission, led by Ms. Shehnaz Arshad, visited Lahore from 2-4 September 2015 and from 9 November to 7 December 2015 for Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project-II (PMSIP-II). The identification mission discussed the scope of future Bank support for urban development in the province building on the achievement and implementation experience of PMSIP.
 
   
Nov 11, 2015 Visit of World Bank Team to TMA Malakwal: World Bank Task Team Identification Mission visited TMA Malakwal to review the results achieved by PMSIP-I on 11 November 2015. Mr. Asif Raza, Administrator—TMA Malakwal, gave presentation and briefed members of the World Bank Task Team regarding the results achieved through the interventions implemented under PMSIP and about efforts of TMA Malakwal in provision of better municipal services to the local inhabitants. The team observed the working of Institutional Development interventions such as Complaint Tracking System, Performance Management System, Financial Management System and TMAs website. A visit to the landfill site of TMA Malakwal was also made by the Mission members.
   
Aug 26, 2015 Sensitization Workshop on Operation & Maintenance of Municipal Services: Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) in collaboration with Local Government & Community Development Department (LG&CDD) arranged a one day sensitization workshop on Operation & Maintenance of Municipal Services on 26 August 2015 at MPDD. The Workshop was organized by the Ahsan Mahmood Resource Center of PMDFC for Administrators and TMOs of four divisions namely Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad and Sahiwal. Chief Secretary of Punjab was the Chief Guest at this training event.
   
Apr 29, 2015 PMDFC conducted an orientation workshop at Multan: on 29 April 2015 to orientate the Tehsil Officers Regulation nominated as focal persons for the project “Asset management of immovable properties for Punjab TMAs”. Fifty four TOs (R) and their representatives from TMAs falling under Bahawalpur and Multan regions participated in the workshop.

Punjab Municipal Services Improvement Project (PMSIP-II) concept paper has been approved by the Central Development Working Party (CDWP) in the meeting held on 31st March 2015
The project proposed interventions aligned with Urban Development Sector Plan (2014-15 - 2017-18) developed by P&D Board, Government of the Punjab. The project will cater for infrastructure development and institutional development interventions in the small and medium cities of Punjab.

Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company has started the implementation of the project “Asset Management of Immovable Properties for Punjab TMAs”
The project will introduce transparency, efficiency and accountability through e- governance and ICT/ GIS based solutions in TMAs. The project will cater TMA’s immovable properties  i.e. TMA-owned open lands, office buildings, shops, grave yard, water supply tube wells, sewerage disposal stations, parks, slaughter houses, bus stands etc.
   
Jan, 2015   PMDFC has been assigned the role of implementation for the project “Clean Drinking Water for All (CDWA),” which is an important initative of the Government of Punjab
The Government of Punjab took an initiative to launch Clean Drinking Water for All (CDWA) Project with billions of rupees for provision of safe drinking water to the people of Punjab province. Currently, 307 Water Filtration Plants (WFPs) are targeted to be installed and commissioned in four districts of Punjab i.e. Lahore, Kasur, Okara and Bahawalpur. Civil works have been stared on various sites of Lahore.
