July 16, 2020: The Financial Management (FM) section of Punjab Cities Program (PCP) organized an orientation session for PCP-partner MCs. In this inaugural orientation session, Chief Officers (COs) and Municipal Officers (MOs) Finance of MC Vehari, MC Khanewal and MC Gojra participated.
The session was conducted by Nauman Akhtar, SPO (FM), Waheed-Ur-Rasheed, PO (FM) and Zeeshan Ali, DPO (FM) from PCP.
The training session was aimed to give a brief introduction on Performance Measures (PMs) and Minimum Access Conditions (MACs) regarding financial management and the way forward to achieve them. The MC officials were also briefed on the approved Annual Development Plan (ADP), annual budget estimates generated from Computerized Financial Management System (CFMS) and MC Co-financing for Performance Based Grants (PBGs) for Financial Year 2020-21 among other matters.
MD, PMDFC advised the FM team to continue similar activities of training and sensitize partner PCP MCs about their role in meeting the Disbursement Linked Indicators (DLIs) for this financial year’s Performance Based Grants (PBGs).
