Syed Zahid Aziz, MD, PMDFC, was called upon by Maryam Khan, Deputy Director/Coordinator, Knowledge Exchange and Policy Dialogue (CKE&PD), EPA Punjab. The meeting discussed the development of a provincial data bank to map wastewater ponds across Punjab, with PMDFC acting as a verification and technical review agency for pond revitalization initiatives using Floating Wetlands technology.
As a pioneer in Floating Wetlands–based wastewater treatment, PMDFC has successfully completed projects in Sheikhupura, Rajanpur, Kasur, and, most recently in the Hadyara Drain Lahore—a first-of-its-kind initiative in Punjab. The meeting also highlighted PMDFC’s collaboration with NIBGE, with deliberations on expanding partnerships to more educational/research institutions. Both sides discussed signing an MoU for effective coordination and implementation. Adnan Nisar Khan, GM Engineering, and Nauman Azhar, DPO ID, also attended the meeting.
