Syed Zahid Aziz, MD PMDFC participated as a guest speaker in the panel discussion titled “Clean Water, Sanitation & Housing Facilities and Energy-Related Problems” hosted by the Civil Services Academy.
Addressing an audience of civil service probationers, senior faculty members, and sector experts, Syed Zahid Aziz drew upon his vast professional experience to share practical solutions for improving urban service delivery. Having served in multiple leadership roles directly linked to the sector — including MD WASA Lahore, MD WASA Faisalabad, CEO Punjab Saaf Paani Authority, and now MD PMDFC — he provided grounded, technical insights shaped by decades of hands-on work.
He highlighted PMDFC’s significant contributions to strengthening municipal governance and improving water and sanitation infrastructure across Punjab through major initiatives such as the Punjab Cities Program (PCP), which has delivered large-scale water supply, sewerage, and stormwater drainage projects in partner cities.
Participants appreciated the depth and clarity of his input, particularly the practical guidance offered to future public managers. The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, where Syed Zahid Aziz responded to questions on energy conservation, water management, and long-term infrastructure sustainability.
