A review meeting was held at the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) on the recently completed GIZ-supported project “Support to Strengthen the Local Services by Local Governments.”
Implemented by PMDFC in Lahore, Sheikhupura, Jhelum, and Toba Tek Singh, the project enhanced the capacity of local government officials through specialized training programs on:
✅ Marriage and Divorce Registration Laws for Minorities
✅ Gender-Sensitive Municipal Services
✅ Public Service Ethics
✅ Safety and Occupational Health
✅ The Punjab Right to Information (RTI) Act
The meeting highlighted key outcomes, shared learnings from the field, and discussed ways to sustain these initiatives for improved governance, inclusion, and citizen-centered service delivery at the local level.
