A meeting was held today at the PMDFC Head Office, where representatives from M/s Flotech delivered a presentation on advanced technology aimed at significantly enhancing the lifespan of sewer pipes. The proposed solution involves the use of special HDPE (High-Density Polyethylene) lining, which can extend the life of sewerage pipelines from the current 30 years to an impressive 100 years. This innovative approach is particularly valuable in addressing sewer settlement issues, which often result in crown failures and lead to major functional disruptions in sewerage systems. M/s Flotech will be submitting a detailed technical proposal for the application of this technology under the Chief Minister Punjab Cities Development Program. The proposal will cover comprehensive sewerage, along with allied infrastructure, for 169 cities across the province. The meeting was attended by Ghufran Ahmad, MD WASA, Lahore along with Zeeshan Bilal, Director P&D and Armaghan, XEN WASA Lahore while from PMDFC Syed Zahid Aziz, MD PMDFC, Mahmood Masood Tamana, GM ID, Adnan Nisar Khan, GM Engineering attended.
