On February 27, 2025, Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique, accompanied by Secretary LG & CDD Shakeel Ahmad Mian, visited the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) office in Lahore. During the visit, Minister LG presided over a meeting where MD Syed Zahid Aziz and GM Mahmood Masood Tamana provided a comprehensive briefing on the implementation strategy for the Chief Minister’s Punjab Cities Development Program. The implementation strategy will ensure the effective execution and long-term sustainability of this flagship program.
The Chief Minister’s Punjab Cities Improvement Program aims to enhance municipal services across the province, focusing on developing sewerage and stormwater drainage systems, in all cities. The initiative will address longstanding issues related to sewerage systems and improve the quality of life for approximately all 50 million urban population of the province.
