Today at the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) office, Local Government Minister Zeeshan Rafique chaired a meeting to review ongoing and upcoming projects aimed at enhancing municipal services across Punjab. Secretary Local Government Shakeel Ahmad Mian, MD PMDFC Syed Zahid Aziz, and other key officials were in attendance.
Key focus areas included drainage, water supply, and filtration plant schemes for both small and large cities. Minister Zeeshan Rafiq emphasized that Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has called for swift action to resolve long-standing issues in urban areas. With significant funding from the World Bank and the Punjab government, mega projects are underway to improve water supply and sewage systems in 200 cities across 35 districts.
