A Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team from the German development agency GIZ visited the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) head office. The team met with Syed Zahid Aziz, MD PMDFC, along with Mahmood Masood Tamana, GM ID, and Sohaib Rafique, DM ID, to discuss the progress and impact of a GIZ-funded initiative aimed at strengthening local governments in Sheikhupura, Toba Tek Singh, Jhelum, and Lahore.
The M&E team, comprising Shaista Zarshad, M&E Specialist, and Ahsan Syed Zada, Junior M&E Specialist, also interacted with beneficiaries of various capacity-building initiatives under the project, including training sessions, exposure visits, and the development of bylaws/rules. The visit aimed to gather comprehensive feedback on the effectiveness of these initiatives and their contribution to improving governance at the local level.
