A training workshop on compliance of ESMF in PCP subprojects was held today (11-04-2023) at @PCOM. The objective of the training was to enhance the skills of participating Staff (Chief Officer, Municipal Officer Planning) from 16 partner MCs for compliance with ESMF in upcoming subprojects under PCP. Mr. Parvez Iqbal, Chairman-BOD-PMDFC, and Syed Zahid Aziz, MD PMDFC also graced the occasion and shared their thoughts with the participants. Mr. Imran Ul Haq (Senior Social Development Specialist), Mr. Azhar Ud Din, ESM Consultant, Ms. Nida Asif, Environment Specialist and Mr. Abdul Hafeez Buzdar, Social Development Specialist, from The World Bank, Ms. Rizwana Anjum SPO ESM, Mr. Noor Ahmad, DD EIA @ EPA Punjab, Mr. Zohaib Butt, SPO Procurement moderated their relevant training sessions. Participating MC staff officials interacted through Group Activities and with resource persons to share their feedback/queries, admiring the learning opportunity.
