Dengue Monitoring Cell

Dengue Monitoring Cell was established at PMDFC on April 14th, 2014 for gauging the performance of Dengue Surveillance Teams of Data Ganj Bakhsh Town, Lahore working in its 18 Union Councils. The surveillance teams comprise 181 field staff members (from different government departments like Health, SWM, National Health Programme, TMA staff, etc.) supervised by the Deputy District Officer Health. The monitoring cell has been established on the instructions of the LG & CD Department and reports to special secretary LG & CD Department on each Friday for weekly progress of field teams. 

The Cell started its activities on April 28, 2014 and is actively monitoring the performance of Dengue Control Surveillance Teams working in 18 UCs of DGBT since then.

Android-Based Online Application

The application, developed by PMDFC, for monitoring of work is being utilized by dengue field staff. Development process included architecture design for mobile application, two mobile screens: (1) attendance form for field staff status in the field and (2) feedback form for recording opinion of public about activities of field staff. Picture and location of field staff activity is also captured and updated on website at runtime.

Website has been developed to assimilate all the information and generate reports on periodic basis. 

Dengue Monitoring Cell since its establishment from April 2014 to date is working very effectively to monitor the performance of Dengue Surveillance Teams of Data Ganj Bakhsh Town, Lahore. The Cell is also submitting its reports and analysis to the department for precautionary measures.
