A meeting of Technical Working Group was held at the PMDFC Head Office. The group was constitution by the Local Government & Community Development (LG&CD) Department and tasked with deliberating on an unsolicited proposal submitted by Mux GrEnergy Pvt. Ltd. (MGE) regarding the purchase of Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) for waste-to-energy purposes.
The meeting was chaired by the Convener of the Group, Syed Zahid Aziz, MD, PMDFC, while Mr. Ahsan Bela, Solid Waste Management Expert PMDFC and Secretary of the Group, along with other members, presented the key features of the proposal.
It was decided to hold a joint meeting with representatives from MGE. The group also recommended seeking expert opinion and professional advice from the Public Private Partnership (PPP) Authority and relevant technical experts on possibly adopting PPP mode.
