A delegation from the World Bank visited (PMDFC) to discuss prospects of private capital participation under the proposed Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP)

A delegation from the World Bank visited the head office of the Punjab Municipal Development Fund Company (PMDFC) today to discuss prospects of private capital participation under the proposed Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP) and to assess preferred Public-Private Partnership (PPP) modalities.
The visiting team comprised Carlo Alberto Amadei, Lesley Cordero, Guillaume Fery, Syed Muhammad Sheheryar, and Suhaib Rasheed. The delegation engaged in detailed discussions aimed at gauging the level of interest among larger cities in Punjab for private sector involvement and identifying past challenges that have impeded such participation in urban infrastructure projects.
Qasim Nadeem, MPA Sahiwal and Rana Asif, MO I&S Kasur, also participated in the meeting to deliberate on prospective investments in the sewerage and water sectors, particularly in cities like Kasur which are actively seeking sustainable infrastructure solutions.
From PMDFC, Syed Zahid Aziz, Managing Director PMDFC, led the internal team, which included Mahmood Masood Tamana (GM ID), Adnan Nisar (GM Engineering), Zohaib Butt (Senior Procurement Officer), and Moeen Ud Din Sheikh (PPP Expert).
