The PPPA Steering Committee meeting was held at the Finance Department, where the WATSAN projects for Kasur and Chakwal were discussed. These cities are part of the World Bank-funded Punjab Inclusive Cities Program (PICP) and the projects will be implemented under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode.
The Steering Committee approved the concept and a PDF of approximately PKR 112 million for hiring IFC as the TA. This marks a landmark moment, as it will be Pakistan’s first water and sanitation project to be undertaken through the PPP model.
